A Guide To Post-Party Cleaning
One of the biggest hassles about throwing a party is post-party cleaning. Although you might have had fun spending time with your friends, fellow partygoers, or family, cleaning up after them can be one of the worst things. This can be made even worse if your party consists of copious amounts of food, alcohol, drinks, and confetti. A typical cleaning might involve picking up used plastic cups, bottles, and utensils that were left all over the place. Furthermore, stains from food and drink can complicate the process and cause even more trouble for the host. To put it simply, cleaning after organizing a party might be equally stressful as planning it in the first place. Below are some tips for a more effective and efficient post-party cleaning process.
Have a Sense of Urgency
Here at Koozee Crazee, we understand that you would probably want to rest immediately after a party that you hosted. However, it could be a good idea to carry out the following steps on the day itself. The fact is that if you leave certain chores until the morning, it might attract pests, pathogens, and cause extremely stubborn stains.
- Put Leftovers in the Fridge: If you find any leftover food in your home after the party that you think will still be safe to consume in the following days, you should keep it fresh by placing them in the fridge. The cold temperature will prevent the food from going bad as fast as it normally would and stop bad odors from forming in your home.
- Place Trash in Trash Bags: If you don’t want your property to become like a rubbish dump after a party, you should collect all the trash in your home and separate them into trash bags or recycling bags. When this is done, place the bags outside your home so that you keep things as sanitary as possible.
- Cleaning Toilets: Before you complete the above tasks, you should pour some toilet cleaner down your toilet bowl. After the tasks are completed, be sure to spray disinfectant onto the parts of your toilet which might have come into contact with the guests at your party. This involves the toilet seat and door handles. Make sure that you wipe the light switches down with a minute amount of disinfectant as well. Once this is done, you can use a toilet brush to scrub your toilet thoroughly.
